AM preflight, alone.  Thought I was on the long low BK 117 step - wrong, I was on the engine bay inspection step, much higher.  Stepped back and suddenly falling.  Tuck head forward, fall, contact, roll over backwards on concrete pad.  Slight neck and bum twerk, otherwise just fine.  No stands for preflight provided, reported it, got laughed at, so much for working fora cheap ash US helicopter operator.

Airborne for real.
