The problem I see is being able to get rest during your stint.  The firetrucks launching more times through the period than the helicopter.  The radio blasting calls for other response locations along with updates on calls.  Otherwise, I see some possible advantages.  Bigger facility, more amenities, higher comfort level, personnel to interact with dureing down time, community involvement,...
