Interesting. Should be an award for all those pilots who had to navigate by map, compass and dead reckoning. Well before loran c, gps, etc.  Still managed to find the LZ, or the intended landing area. Sometimes accompanied by a bunch of other aircraft behind them.  Ah...but I reminisce...back to present.
