Cool. So just because those cases are rare (though they are more common than the 1% you mention), it's okay. Dude...I know if it were my wife or daughter, I would draw small comfort from the fact that even though she was forced to carry her r@pist's child or could be critically at risk health-wise, it's OKAY... because hey... she's only among the 1%.
