There's the breakdown to per hour wages:

First year payscale:

5/2 schedule.  You work five 14-hr days (shifts) per week and there are 52 weeks in a year.   That's 3120 hours in a year, for the compensation of $98,944.   That's $31.71/hr.

14/14 schedule.   You work fourteen 14-hr days (shifts) per 28 days, and there are 26 of thos 14 hour periods in a year.  That's 2190 hours in a year, the the compensation of $78,000.  That's $35.61/hr

So, first year pilots working a 5/5 are working longer hours for less hourly pay:   $31.71/hr vs $35.61/hr
