Only way you're gonna get the LL time is to get the same crap job that we had to get it. Slinging dog poo, fires, maybe a clapped out 206 running bags, maybe some backwater drill job in AK.

Not trying to dissuade you, but everyone here telling you to sit SIC to get experience isn't being honest. It's a good way to get stuck as a SIC. 

Think real hard about the pay cut and schedule you'll have to put up with. And the competition from very hungry and young guys who pick things up pretty quick. 

End of the day, if you're pleasant to be around and have good work ethic, you'll have a better shot of not getting kicked off the job before you figure out how to fly a line. 

Good luck, it's not an easy road. And you may find yourself there wondering why you wanted it in the first place...
