I think to get the "foot in the door" is the most important thing. Columbia seems to be a good company. If that SIC would be offered to me, I would bite the bullet on it, work my behind off and hope the company and crew will keep me after six monyhs. Also, six month in the logging business without obligations, will get you the inside scoop if you like this. Not for everyone and I am glad I dont have to do it anymore.

As a former CP/DO, I would welcome a guy with a bag of experience. He has done something and can advance quickly if the opportunity arises.
