I'm in the same boat, almost identical minus the offshore time and me being at just over 5,000 hours. Had some fire and long-line experience 20 years ago. The last time I tried making the switch was 2 or 3 years ago. Nobody had any interest then, now I'm even more motivated to make a move. Best of luck to you!
