Me and my buddy went back there, must have been 25, 30 years ago.  You missed the WOC Lounge.  Although it was some kind of community youth center or something, the painted mural was still on the wall.  Went to the old Holiday Inn; it wasn't a HI anymore, but the Crossed Rotorblades were still there by the pool.  Went into the lobby to chat up the little gal at the desk.  She had no idea what the blades were there for.  Drove out to Dempsey heliport, I think it was called.  The one out to the west  It was fenced in and was being used to store hundreds of fema trailers,  The hangers and offices were still there, and with a half pint of Jack in my back pocket, we hopped the fence and went out to the offices and briefing rooms.  It was spooky.  Remember the photos of the stage fields with Vietnamese names on the walls?  They were strewn on the floor, but still there, some still in the frames. It was quite a trip.
