Sorry to hear, I had him as our POI for many years 95-12 and really enjoyed interacting with him and Gary too!!! He REALLY promoted aviation.

Learned a few things, had a good time and above all he was fair and realized that most Helicopter operators in the PNW are not Alaska Airlines (unlike the current crop of the POI's) I could get a Ops manual change done in a week or two tops, the last one in 2016 took almost a year......
