Cars are designed with different priorities and specs. Pilots are meat in the seat, they're not buying what they're flying in most cases.

Head and neck trauma usually kill the occupants. Seen partial decapitations, etc. The main rotor's your worst enemy in a crash.
I'm not arguing for airbags. I believe in energy absorbing seats and good 4-point inertial harnesses
