Wrong, both teams do not use the same ball. Each team has a ball handler on the sideline to keep them dry and ensure there are no defects on them during play. The balls are inspected and checked for proper inflation by the game officials before the start and that is the last time they are looked over closely. Deflate occurred after the officials looked them over and happened on the sideline.
