change is a constant throughout history.  If one looks at emerging countries you'll discover the citizens of the US have been very responsible in reducing carbon emissions.  Not so a lot of other countries.

Why does the US has to be the "leader" (as our fake political leaders say) in all things global change?

4% of the world's population?  Wrong.

Pass on to electrification of everything  through technology that consumes more energy to accomplish it than staying in our lane, overload the fairly delicate electric grid, drive an EV in a traffic jam and watch the charge meter inch towards zero, and in cold weather watch it arrive there, imagine the tow trucks responding to thousands of stuck automobiles, the shelters opening to house everyone with heat from their pot-belly stoves - ugh.

Politicians and big business rely on connivance of the truth.  Their track record is loaded with it.

Back in the early 80s it was the world will run out of oil, completely, by 2015.  Really?  Of course the answer to that is the emergence of technology previously unknown to man, aka fracking, and all the other bits reflecting the adaptation of known tech such as gas reinjection.

To me it is pretty much beurocracy breeding more beurocracy, aka fraud.  Rich get richer, government gets more government, middle class continues its demise fleeced by the ruling 1%, and of course, the poor get desperate and grab for the stupidity of violence.
