From that list I can say I’ve worked out of most of these communities in my 30 years in power line. I’d never live in them so I’d say that most pilots wouldn’t either.
Perhaps if medical operators took the utility approach and paid travel and lodging for 3 week tours to these crappy towns and pilots can live anywhere they could fill positions like Ft Stockton, TX.

Of course those pilots would be in a position to be away from home and family 180 days a year. The twist of that is being home, wherever suits you, for 3 weeks at a time still paid.
