Message A bird strike would probably leave significant evidence: blood, guts, feces, feathers, and often the actual bird. I knew a guy who had the bird come into his lap that way. He said the bird was pretty unhappy with the helicopter ride.
I hit one at 2000' and climbing, at cruise speed. It was in the mob trailing a shrimp boat culling their catch. The carcass didn't come into the cabin through punched out TwinStar nose cone but a lot of other 'stuff' did.
