Back then we came out of school got hired as a grade 6. Fuel handled, baggage handling ,sling loaded,whatever. Then if you did alright then you went to Heavy or light ship school then off to the Hangar of in the Gulf as grade 5 or Junior mechanic. Then a year or 2 you would be bumped to senior or grade 4. Nothing new. Have to start somewhere.
