Last I heard this past summer was that everyone was issued the storm trooper face shield (maxilofacial shield) for the HGU's and you had to use those while in the cockpit.

They're worthless for stopping Covid and stop any airflow from getting to your face to keep you cool in the blistering hot Lakota.  I took a thermometer and clipped it a few inches from the center console - in flight, the coolest it got was 108 degrees in the summer (with doors open and spoiled).  It was hotter than that at a hover or sitting at idle.  Startup with a student (REALLY slow in a complex aircraft like that) was almost unbearable in Alabama heat during the summer months.

Oh, the Lakota only has ONE air vent for each pilot and it's way down by your knee!  Ridiculous.
