The video did not address how long it takes to charge up an EV using a 120V extension cord coming from your garage.  I'd bet it takes a long time.  Maybe you could use a 220V outlet like your dryer plugs into?  (Oh, and what does that do to your power bill?) 

You're lucky, but not all people live in houses with garages.  I can't even get my car into my garage becuase of all the stupid motorcycles taking up that space.  But even if you lived in, say, the Surfside Condominium complex in South Florida, and even if the garage had some EV charging stations, you couldn't exactly park your car, plug it in and then go on up to your penthouse, have a drink and forget about it until morning.  All's I'm saying is that there are issues...big issues...that will have to be addressed before EV's are in widespread use here in the U.S.
