Message Required to intercept the final approach inside the outer marker. The only approaches that use a marker, are the ILS or localizer. In IMC, before you start your descent to minimums at the final approach fix, or "outer marker" you should be established on a segment of the approach at that segm altitude. Any lateral deviation from the final approach course is not protected terps airspace past full scale lateral deflection. You are setting yourself up for CFIT or colliding with an obstacle outside protected airspace.
