Boy, I got more time looking at the "FAR/Aim" than you do total in your logbook, and its not even 1/10th of the time in my logbook...First off the FAR's would be the regulatory guidance as the Aim isn't a "rule" book per se.  Secondly, irrespective of 14CFR91.17, if you get someone like your mom, ie. a Karen, then the wrong FSDO could charge you with careless and reckless.  Maybe the powder isn't FDA/EPA approved, etc.  Maybe you think its dropped safely, but your mom, ie. Karen, doesn't think so.

 

SO, my question, for those that actually have any experience, is; have you experienced any issues with your FSDO about dropping.  If so, what did they say?  What powder and technique are you using?  Thanks in advance for intelligent answers...
