Yeah, HEMS ain't perfect. But, really, REALLY no worse than most jobs. In other jobs you are required to fly to contract conditions that you'vr never seen in print. The customer lead just spouts shyte he claims I'm contractually bound to do and sometime I do and sometimes I don't. In HEMS the mechanic and I are the last word on the aircraft. Eithr, both down it it's down. If say I'm not flying x, y, or z conditions per the book, I don't fly it. Complaints? Yep, but my decision is supported by the regs. Don't socialise with the passengers andmedical types are passengers, in spite of their delusions. They are NEVER cited as other than contributing factors in the accident report.
