Original Message

From the Union:

Considering the recent correspondence to pilots, the Union requests that the Company bargain the below items and we challenge them to take an official position publicly and on the record for each of them:

Agree not to contest unemployment insurance claims if laid off for not being vaccinated.

Agree not to contest workers compensation claims for adverse reactions to the vaccine.

Agree to accept resignations as non-punitive and place each pilot who chooses not be vaccinated in a re-hireable status for when the current vaccine mandates may change.

Agree to expedited arbitration for vaccination related disputes.

Agree to disclose the process by which employees may request an accommodation, either medical or religious, and identify who is the approving authority for them at both HBS and CBS programs.

Agree to provide paid administrative time if employees are unable to work after receiving the vaccine, including the current 48-hour observation PIC restriction in place by the FAA.

Access to leave without pay for employees who choose not to become vaccinated, or to a temporary layoff with recall rights.

Agree to give unrestricted access to accrued time off and the continuation of medical benefits for employees who choose not to become vaccinated.

Agree to non-disciplinary separations for employees who choose not to become vaccinated.

Agree to clearly defined terms regarding how employees are to provide proof of their vaccinated status and to disclose the security measures in place to protect employees personal and protected health information.

Agree to report to the Union a list of each HBS program that is requiring vaccination, who are providing medical and/or religious exemption, and who are offering alternatives such as testing or not entering their facility.

Agree to pay those pilots who have already received the vaccine and provide proof a minimum of eight (8) hours for each dose (and booster), paid at the workover rate.
