That meme with all the pics of all the stuff we supposedly "left behind" is a little misleading.  It actually represents all of the stuff we've given to the Afghanis over the last 20 years, not the stuff that we abandoned when we left.  I saw one video that showed a hangar with some CH-46's with their blades folded that look like they could be made ready for flight, but their engines may have been removed and they may have been from the Brits. (The meme does not indicated that we gave them any '46's.)  In any event, without tech support, none of that stuff will be airworthy for long.  YOU CAN BE SURE that the U.S. military (ahem) "disabled" as much of *our* stuff as they could before leaving.  Nevertheless, there's still a lot of guns and things that are now undoubtedly in Tally-Ban hands, and for that we must answer. 

Glad we got our boys outta there, but I sure wouldn't want to be an American stranded in Afghanistan right now.  Back when Trump announced our definite departure would have been a good time to di di mao.  But hey, we'd been there for 20 years already; there really was no strong reason to think it would really end.
