Message "I read back in the 50's they called ships ships and helicopters helicopters until some dumbass called a helicopter a ship but nobody started calling a ship a helicopter which I find fascinating "
Nobody calls a ship a helicopter? And you find that "fascinating," do ya, Mr. Spock? Hmm, could it be because a ship/boat is not a helicopter? Lookee here: A boat cannot be an aircraft, but an aircraft can be a ship. I know that's a difficult concept for your little pea-brain to grasp, but we understand your, ahem, limitations. And we forgive you for them. We make fun of you for them, but we forgive you.
(I would usually assume that this "It's not a ship, dammit!" guy is just a troll, but I actually do know some neurotic, immature helicopter pilots who get wound around the axle about petty BS like this. So he may be real. And that's a truly sad commentary about pilots in our industry.)
