spend the day flying four legs with an aircraft swap or two, a sit at an airport, to spend the night at a hotel

vs

watch a movie, take a nap, go fly, come back to have dinner before finishing the shift and heading home

if they ever paid the same, I'd never consider an airline.  The money is the selling point.
