Med crews are everything you heard and worse. Utility better.

Schedule. EMS, no question.

Pay. Utility but you earn every penny. My EMS daily rate is pretty good. 

Flight time. I don't care if I get one more hour. EMS works. IFR is fun. EMS is better for me.

EMS is easier on your body.

Maintenance. From what I've experienced, EMS and always being 135 is far superior.

All in all, EMS is a better career in the long run.
