Message "I believe" Part of the problem is the agencies themselves. For years they have been militarizing operations. I'm not saying briefings and organization is a bad thing but the way it's went about seems to give cause. I haven't been involved for a few years but the last project fire I was on (a firebase) was just that, a RVN firebase. Fork lifts, people all over, hollering, directing and naturally RLOs running all over giving orders. Every fire seemed to rise to the level of a major enemy attack and everyone about to be overun. To make a point, it seems that overzealousness seems to create the senario for accidents. If a life is at stake, take the chance within reason. If not just fight the fire and quit looking for opportunites to be a hero.
