Yes lets do some math about covid. There are about 333,000,000 people in the US. There have been 600,000 deaths in the US from the disease, so divide 600,000 by 333,000,000 and you get .0018 or about two tenths of one percent chance of dying from covid in the US. Seems like fairly slim odds to me.
