Message The CDC shows that 3.358 million people died in 2020. Compare that to 2019, where 2.9 million people died. So there was something like 400,000 *excess* deaths overall in 2020 compared to previous years. The CDC figures that 378,000 of them were due to COVID-19.
You can pick and choose whicever statistics and figures you want to use, but I think it's hard to deny that *more* people died in 2020 and that *most* of those "excess deaths" were from COVID-19.
Now, were hospitals inflating the number of "COVID-19" deaths because they got more money for them? Yeah, probably. This wouldn't be America without some good ol' fudging of numbers. But the bottom line is the excess deaths over 2019 as well as years prior. Explain that one, deniers!
