Please note that employees covered under a collective-bargaining agreement will follow those guidelines as set forth. If there are other holidays not listed that employees wish to observe, they may submit a request for time off to observe that particular holiday. All current policies regarding other time off and compensation will remain in effect. 

That's what makes me curious
