I have flown around the world many times and the US air carriers are the worst around.  Delta is the best of the worst and they usually do a great job on the International routes.  American, United and SouthWest are on par with Ethiopian Airlines.  Once you have flown Air France, Lufthansa, Etihad or Malasian Airlines, you will see the poor state of our countries air services.
