Had to use short term disability for a medical issue and just found out they cap it at $1250.00 a week and tax it. Also geo modifiers and any extra pay is not included in your base pay. You will also be responsible for all medical, dental, life insurance, 401k, hsa and anything else that's left. So after taxes not much left over to live on. Guess it's better then nothing!
