It will be filled because it is a "feeder base."  Ft. Rucker is 44 miles away.  They will get someone from there to take the job then transfer out after a year or so to a base they really want to be at.  I worked Laredo and Tucumcari for AMC and it was a revolving door of pilots leaving after one year to other bases.  Or, put a mobile home there and call it pilot housing and staff it 14/14.  I believe that's what PHI did(without the mobile home) in Tucumcari when they acquired the contract from AMC.
