109 does nothing for this industry. There hasn't been a contract for a while and the only thing it's done has continued to let air methods fall further behind. 

When 109's first contract was approved, all local HEMS pilots got a raise to match.

That contract also pretty much reduced pilot turnover by 90%.

That negotiated agreement was good for the company and good for pilots. Unless you have labor contract specialists on your payroll and an extensive legal staff, organizing your fellow pilots to negotiate as group with a union's support is your best chance to improve your work conditions.
