 Well, it does happen all the time in utility. Typically the are called letter of agreement.  But a contract none the less.

 Simple things like per diem and flight pay  mins on airline travel day. Level of hotel I expect. who pays for Uber rides, baggage fees, etc. it's really simple stuff but important to guys that have those very issues be actual issues.

 There are at least two utility  operators I know that keep your hotel points. 180 days in a hotel, that adds up to a benefit I want for me.
