 Hire someone that knows the model and get a good pre-buy inspection. I would give you two recomendations, either the seller must have the 12 year inspection before the purchase. Or, pro-rate the estimated cost of the inspection and deduct the cost of the inspection from the purchase price. There's a reason why it's usually easy to find 11 year old AS350's for sale.
