because they hired NEW hires to fill the slots and promoted those that stayed...FYI, I was a 407 new hire during the strike, and they walked into training asking who wanted to be a S76 and 135 pilot,  and moved us over to fill those slots.....S76 guys and 135 pilots flying got S92 slots....so yeah, they did fire them....Yeah, it proved a point firing those...Consequences and who holds the true hand....THey fired those NOT current and brought in a Endless new batch of pilots for all slots...Instructors and even the CP flew the line....
