went on for more than 90 days and eventually the company caved in and paid higher wages due to lost revenue on the Big OG contracts....well guess what happens when your not flying for over 90 days?   your unqualifed to fly that aircraft for Currency issues....PHI said well all those pilots that aren't current you are now fired....Union took PHI to court saying PHI had to pay to get the piltos current and the Courts said NOPE they actually don't....

A LOT of those pilots got the boot....but if you crossed the lines they were taking NEW hires in 407 training and putting them in S76 slots and 407/135 guys and bumping them up to S92 captains....plus those still flying got almost Double/Triple Pay to stay on sched for OT purposes and a HIGHER daily rate added onto their salaries....so yeah there are ups/downs....Company might drag it out and kick you to the curb...FACT they can do that...
