No-one said logbook...pilot duty log would refer to Part 135 flight/Duty time record...not your flight logbook. Part 135 requires you record all COMMERCIAL FLYING on your flight/duty log. Legal interpretations from the FAA would define commercial flying as flying for which the pilot was compensated...

"Other commercial flying means any nonmilitary flying as a required crewmember, other than in air transportation, for which the crewmember is paid for his or her services" (Martindell and Koepp Legal insterpretations)
