Depends on who what where and when. 30 years in civil sector, 25 in EMS, my base just went over $125K. Beats offshore, I'm close to home, but I'm still working at age 60, almost $1M in savings, haven't really done any exciting travel, kind of a boring life. I should have gone to the airlines 25 years ago.
