The HGU-56P was not a heavy helmet but if they found a way to reduce the weight by 24% this thing must be light.  Just for TF160th guys for now...

It will be nice to have peripheral vision back and not look like Darth Helmet from Spaceballs!  

Goggle still weigh a ton, though. I still used a weight bag for years (making it worse) as it felt like tightening the nape strap method instead just made the helmet super uncomfortable (like squeezig my head all flight).  

I know there's a new set of NVG's that's lighter but don't think the military is using them:

Anyone former USMC that got to use the TopOwl helmets?  Would imagine it's fairly heavy.
