Original Message Not smart.
Part 27 had a gross weight limit as well as of design issues, that's why they can't increase the weight.
It needed to be certified under Part 29.
Bell did not want to do that, so they tried a end run around.
They were going to STC it to a higher gross weight but the FAA said no because it can't meet those safety requirements.
Classic Bell messing up and not doing it the right way.
Oh how the mighty have fallen.
No new real good helicopters coming out, no new ideas.
No love for the civilian sector.
They need help just like MD, Enstrom, etc. |
