As stated earlier, there's serious liability in doing that.  You were not told to do that during your Indoc and your CP should not be supporting that either.  You're risking your own certificate; if something happens and you tell them that was your personal SOP to have them read you the checklist you will still be at fault for a missed step; not them.

It may make for warm fuzzies making them feel part of the crew and them helping you "not miss anything, we're a crew, one-team-one-fight, yada-yada-yada" but don't do it.  

During "simulated IMC training" in VMC conditions when returning to base there's nothing wrong with having them "back you up" in reading the IMC procedures or in general if discussing some form of simulated emergency and you want them to read the checklist to you, but in actual operation of the aircraft it's YOUR responsibility.
