14 years in the GOM, 13 VFR; 16 years HEMS. The Gulf is way more demanding- I've landed in a lot of fields, pastures and parking lots on HEMS flights... almost none of those in the Gulf. And the Gulf makes its' own weather, it differs from "The Beach" in a lot of ways.
