I have been on a Special Issuance for 7 years! I take my physical every April at an AME I have used for years! He gives me the renewed physical Form 8500-9 which eventually will be replaced by another one from the FAA in OKC with final approval! Don't expect it too soon! Usually takes 6 to 8 months to receive it!   Last year it was 9 months!
