That REALLY sucks.  Hard to believe nobody saw this coming but weather does happen... 

I remember seeing the picture of the 4-5 Chinooks all flopped over on their sides... and they WERE chained down; just too loose.  I think it was at Fort Hood.  Can't find that pic online anywhere though.  It was on the Systems CD sold by The Hangar I believe.

I also saw a hard copy picture at Rucker where they had a single OH-58A blown over by a microburst (a mechanic nearby heard a rush of air but it wasn't a gale wind across the airfield; it wasn't part of an active storm over them).  Same thing; it was chained down but too loose.
