Future Archeologists, if we survive that long,  Will determine that this period in time was marked by lack of blood flow to the brain because of social media overlord. This caused the brain to restrict blood flow to keep from exploding thus determining the onset of ignorance.  The unintended consequences of this was increased blood flow to the penal and vaginal areas of the body causing them bred uninhibitedly with anyone and everything available to them.  Therefore the lack of intelligence proliferated.
