Way back when I was young and not that bright, I thought that you had to be wise to be a judge in the court of law.  Now that I am older (but still not that bright), I realize I was wrong.  First year college economics teaches about inelastic demand, yet a judge rules against GOM leasing due to global warming, thinking bad actors won't make up the difference and cause more CO2 emissions in the process?
