Yes, you are correct.  They do think you are stupid, uneducated and deplorable.  Just because we fly or flew helicopters, which is considered a highly technical skill we are not to be counted.  Anybody can fly a helicopter, you see it all the time on TV.  Have you not watched the scene where the handsome actor and the beautiful woman actress jump in the helicopter while being pursed by right-wing zombie deplorables ?  She turns to him asking " do you Know how to fly this thing "? He answers, "No, but how hard can it be".  They then fly off to a very "confined area" landing site and have sex even though they have only known each other 15 minutes.  Must have something to do with the enroute in-flight vibrations.!!
