  Possibly a self serving lead?  I've flown for several different bases with two different operators (Metro included) and it's been my experience that the lead will often take responsibility and cover open shifts.  It would be interesting to know if this lead is frequently covering these comp day vacancies at 1.5 OT rate for himself.
